Hi Roopa,

I remember hearing Pitta Patta have a high staff turnover. A friend wasn't keen on how it was managed, but for continuuty she did leave her daughter there til she started school so it was a niggle rather than a deal-breaker. I know they have the video link but she didn't like to log in as it was hard seeing her daughter when she couldn't be there. That's all I can offer on it, haven't visited myself. What put me off was that you have to provide all their food until the kids turn 2, requires too much balancing for me anyway. good luck!

My baby has been at Oak Tree on Boveney Rd for month and loves it. I had looked around 6 nurseries in Honor Oak/ Forest Hill and Oak Tree gave the most friendly and genuine tour so i am so glad he is there. The key workers are always smiling and seem to love being around children and the owner is around a lot to keep an eye on how things are going. I had a nice chat with her last week and I really like her hands on approach. A couple of other nurseries seemed nice, eg Rubadubs near FH station, but I didn't get a good feeling from Pitta Patta as the carers seemed disinterested in the children and it didn't seem very homely. It was also a lot more expensive than the others. Good luck!

    • Ah sorry, it was comedy.
    • I have never used AI in my life. It's just notes from my forthcoming monograph on light industry in Dulwich and Camberwell 1879-1946 (dates chosen for obvious reasons).
    • Thank you, this really made me chuckle. It's like you met my brother as he would be the one taking more than his share. Plus the 'pikey' chutney is a winner. Unusual as in can't be identified??? Sadly I'm not the host otherwise I would definitely do that I regularly shop in the Cheese Block and am a fan. But as people have pointed out, there is no cheese shop that charges less based on bulk, so Aldi unusual cheeses may be what the familam receive! Yay, so I can get discounted mouse nibbled cheese still! Oooo, now I do love a Stinking Bishop. It actually offends my stepmum by it's stinkiness but luckily she is not one of the attendees at this particular gathering.  This is blooming genius. It's actually my partner who has the biggest issue with buying in plastic so I will have to hide the wrappers from him!
