Hello,

We are currently looking for a tutor to help with our 12 year old's literacy. He's currently on a waiting list with the NHS to be diagnosed but is struggling at school to access much of what is being taught. Someone with experience of ADHD is essential and we feel it would need to be one to one coaching. We live on the Herne Hill/Dulwich border and would like the lessons to start in September.

Please DM me if interested or call on 07557 188202

Regards

Gary

Hi Gary,

I’m and experienced Year 5/6 primary school teacher. I live in Dulwich and I work at a school in New Cross. I have taught and supported students with a range of needs including ADHD. This will be my last year teaching in school as I am moving into full time tutoring. Let me know when’s a good time to have a chat. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Bob

    • For these places to be good they have to be mega efficient: high volume high speed like the one in Camberwell next to Stormbird.  If you can't hit that sort of tipping point you end up having to cut corners and you enter a sort of death spiral.  The one at the south end of Lordship Lane near Joseph's is fairly hopeless.
    • It's my understanding that estate agents are obliged to put forward any offer to the seller made to them by the buyer. The decision to accept us up to the seller.  If you're in a chain and someone in the chain has the brass neck to threaten to pull out at the last minute unless you take their lower offer, you're in a very tricky position and the gazunderer knows that.  It's a really nasty thing to do but a crappy person will do it to save money.  That's why if you can be at the top of a chain by going into rented or some other temporary solution you're in a much stronger position to tell the gazunderer to take a running jump which is very satisfying.
    • Isn't it because any bladed item now needs to sold with a new set of legal conditions (age verification etc) which this forum doesn't have? Even if there's a tool to remove stones from a horses hoof, and a tiny pair of tweezers its still got a blade.
    • Yes, if you think they have been complicit in this. When you say you "had to" accept the lower price from your buyer, was that because of the timing of your purchase?
