Mabel has now been found thanks to a poster, a little skinny but otherwise fine. Just want to say a big thanks to everyone who reached out to say they'd spotted her, it gave us hope that we'd be reunited soon. She is enjoying lots of treats and cuddles and slowly getting used to her kitten Monty again.

Further update to say Mabel is still missing, it's been over 4 weeks now and we're still hoping we'll find her soon. Some further details... she is still growing out a shaved patch on her left side, has a little bit of a pot belly and a weird croaky miaow. I know a lot of torties can look very similar but I think she has a distinctive ginger flash around her left eye...

Hi, our rescue cat Mabel escaped through the front door last night, she is a petite tortie/brindle, chipped, no collar, adopted from Celia Hammond in May so hasn't been allowed out yet (thought she's a former stray and hopefully quite streetwise). She will be missing her kitten Monty and he's desperate to be reunited with her.  She can be very friendly and loves a head scratch. Please keep an eye out for her around the vicinity of Pellatt Road, check sheds etc, she also likes to be in high places so hoping she's not up a tree somewhere! I have been out for a search this morning and have scattered cat litter near our front door, but if anyone has any other tips to help bring her home please let me know.

    • I took it to mean that he was going to present all sides of the argument (for want of a better term) rather than just giving his own opinion. I didn't take it to mean that he was calling "his own views" balanced.
    • I just did this survey. There are a number of problems with it. For example, in at least two questions you have an option "other, please specify" but there is no way to specify what the "other" is. Also, you have several questions where if you have nothing appropriate to answer, you get a statement "this is a required question", or words to that effect, so you have to put in something like "nothing" in order to move on. Can I suggest that this is likely to confuse people so they just give up half way through? Maybe you should test it out on a few people before going "live" with it?
    • I went to Brockwell Lido on a hot day last summer to do some lengths. It was busy.  I kept getting other people's hair, which was floating around the pool, tangled in my hands. It was gross. I'm not sure if that was unusual, or if it's always like that on a hot day.
    • Didn't engage him in conversation but I think he was just 'collecting' for a 'charity' - without ID or anything else. Something to do with rehabilitation. They don't seem to bother with dusters. Which is probably a blessing.
