Just used Ryan (RJS Carpentry) to build alcove cupboards and floating shelves and he was great. Prompt, tidy, quick and did just as quoted for. Would definitely recommend, really nice guy too - coped with my changes of mind and general sleep deprived procrastination... Can give more details if needed

We used Ryan over the weekend to deal with a door problem, recommended. Turned up on time, did the job nice and quick, decent price. Will get him in when we get the big jobs done.

Hi,

Just wanted to leave a recommendation for Lenny - excellent handy man. Lenny was extremely professional and came out to fix our expanded front door within a few hours of calling. His prices were very reasonable. Lenny was very helpful in that he hung up a mirror for me also - all completed within the hour. I will definitely be calling on Lenny for a few other jobs which need doing around the house. Thanks...

I would like to thank the east dulwich forum for the great local people who I have had the pleasure of dealing with, allowing me to continue to supply a reasonably priced service within the area and work in beautiful homes.

Wishing everybody a very happy new year!

Ryan is great. He completed a project for my husband and I yesterday. We were both extremely impressed by his professionalism, tidiness as well as his tireless patience. Best of all he was full of good advice about ?what works? in our relatively space. His costs were transparent and reasonable.

All in all very highly recommended.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Joe Runcak. He's just completed three alcove wardrobes for us.

Joe has not only been an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the process; popping over whenever he can to make sure he understands the brief, advising us on what would look best (especially in a very wonky Victorian house) and keeping me up to date with progress (texting and emailing pictures).

He's a true craftsman, someone who takes immense pride in his work and we couldn't be happier with the result. They look fantastic.

Thanks Joe!

    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
