Hello everyone,

Like many third time mums I don't do anything with my 22mth old apart from drag her along to all her sibling's activities. She's starting to get bored and I am starting to feel guilty.

It's really difficult to do things at home as even storytime ends up being a battle as they fight for my attention and scramble over eachother to see which page I'm on.

She has a couple of medical conditions which mean that while she is fine she will become ill if she becomes fatigued or freezing cold (so energetic dance classes and swimming are out for now).

I wondered if anyone had any suggestions of activities that she could do long term (I would like her to have a hobby that she could keep doing aswell as the two of us enjoying it when she is young). Does anyone have any class suggestions (preferably ones that run on thursdays or fridays).

Thank you

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
