What's the best utility provider in the area?

We're moving to ED on 30th August and are in the process of setting up bills. Please can someone recommend the most reliable and cost-effective utility provider in the area?

Another 'yeh' to Octopus. So, British Gas is one of the worst that I have had the displeasure of dealing with - even Ofgem wrote to me to say that BG is the one which they have the most trouble with . . .
