Hi, my husband is a kiwi and we would love to meet other families so our son can get to know this part of his heritage. I've just found out that a boy who recently left our nursery went to what they call "Maori club". I would be very interested if there is a local group or a London one. Any suggestions will be very appreciated.

Hi there,

There are lots of kiwi families locally, and lots on the forum. A while back we started thinking about arranging a regular meet up or playgroup but it hasn't really got off the ground (I'm guilty of not doing anything to push it!). I keep thinking a kiwi picnic or BBQ would be nice, maybe we should arrange one for the summer.

There is a kohanga reo group that meets at NZ House, on Haymarket, not sure if it's every week or not, but it's in the weekends and I know a few people who go and love it. I keep meaning to take my kids there but weekends end up too busy.

    • I want to recommend the kitchen fitters Top Marx kitchens. They were excellent from the communication, the planning and the fitting. John did a fantastic job of of fitting and worked around and solved many of the issues we had with Ikea who we purchased from. John gave lots of helpful advice and support. We would definitely use them again for any kitchen work. I have added before and after photos.
