Hi,

I travel through Rye Lane almost everyday and find that it appears to be law unto itself. That is the rules of the road that he rest of our beloved nation adheres too (well trys to) seem not to apply here. Cars/Vans merryilly park in the bus stop, perhaps they have identity issues and beleive themselves to be a bus! Let us not even begin the subject of the permanant road works.

My concern is mostly as it delays the bus taking me to delightful law abiding Dulwich.

Any thoughts as to who I can whinge to?

J

You and me both. I've complained to the shops themselves, to the councillors and to the police on the streets but it never changes. Perhaps deliveries are allowed on alternate sides of the streets depending on the time of day, despite the yellow lines, but who knows? Try talking to James the councillor who will put you in contact with the right person. If not, try asking the drivers of the merrily parked vehciles. Good luck with that!

Rye Lane is a very busy thoroughfare and I admire how the bus drivers cope with the narrow road and deliveries .

But they do cope , I use this road every day ,and while the traffic can be slow it is moving .

The shops do have to have deliveries . It's busy but it all seems to function .

I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.

If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
    • Like I thought… prob like that for most of the day.. especially after people had walked their dogs, with friends, relatives  kids…
