  1. They had a nice van with Immigration Enforcement written on the side
  2. Looking to replace paving slabs and potentially install a tiled path in the front garden
  3. I would try leaving it outside your house with a note saying its free. I've done this and the tin goes in a few hours or https://communityrepaint.org.uk/i_need_paint/southwark/
  4. Things may have changed since I was a student but I didn't tend to go in with 8am commuter crowd... King's College would be a simple change at London Bridge for Charing Cross and UCL, Birkbeck, SOAS etc are not much of a walk. The buildings look about the same height as the school and the M&S building
  5. I'm in favour but agree that it would be better if it wasn't student accommodation. Not that I have anything against students; I was one for many years 🙂 I believe that in the bizarre way that UK housing works its easier from a planning point if view and also cheaper to build student housing; the financing model is also easier. I'm not sure the site would accommodate more than a few houses so I'm afraid that seems like a pipe dream to expect that from Big Builder. It would be nice if they could flats
  6. The price per kg is displayed for both packaged and loose good; i've yet to see packaged being cheaper There are many many cheap fruit and veg stalls on Rye lane. Support a small business instead of a big supermaket 🙂
  7. Your phone number and email address were optional on the form as i recall so you could submit it without providing those. Although I guess they could still write you letter....
  8. Is anyone else seeing bats? I live near goose green and have seen a solitary bat at dusk in my garden
  9. Another recommendation for Leon. Great communication and he quickly resolved my issue
  10. The are doing something to the actual bar

The new rate is around 28.34p per kwh compared to 20.8p per kWh. It looks like it might be getting closer to 40p per kwh from Oct
  13. Were these quotes done recently? With the massive increase in power prices and rise of WFH (it's better to use the power than sell it to the grid) i believe the payback period can be around 8 years
  14. Hi, A couple of things come to mind - Try to avoid connecting the garden directly to the 5G router, connect it to the eero network. This way all your devices stay on the same network/ssid. This is the advantage of mesh; you have a single network so you can do things like control any network attached devices like wifi lights, Nest thermostats etc - Create a guest network for visitors; you don't want other people on your main network
  15. Hi, the built in hood extractor fan in my kitchen has broken and i need someone to install a replacement Many thanks
  16. The new entrance is great i like what they have done with the plants and art.

  18. Who carries cash anymore. I took out 200 quid at lock down in case. I think i have virtually all of it 9 months on.
  19. I assume we are talking about East Dulwich Grove not East Dulwich Road? Unless there's a worm hole at the junction
  20. If there are two supermarkets and one enforces mask wearing and one doesn't; I'm going to the former
  21. Nope The volume to me is of an less of an issue than the speed. It would be nice if they would even attempt to enforce the law. The speed limit is 20 mph on the road but the law speed survey i saw had an average speed of around 30 mph.
