That's going to be interesting for the 37 bus 🫣

EAST DULWICH GROVE, SE22: Route 37 is on diversion in both directions via Herne Hill, Denmark Hill, Champion Park, Grove Lane and Grove Vale due to Thames Water works. Buses towards Putney Heath/Green Man will not serve stops ‘Derwent Grove’(B) to ‘Herne Hill’(E). Buses towards Peckham Bus Station will not serve stops ‘Herne Hill’(D) to ‘Derwent Grove’(U). Please allow extra time for your journey.

I'd imagine it will follow the same diversion as the 37 @richard tudor - theres no where for the bus to turn round so won't be going to the hospital.  Closest stop is probably Elsie or the station and then using the cut through path from Melbourne Grove north end by the charter school entrance on Jarvis Road.

EAST DULWICH GROVE, SE22: Route 42 is on diversion in both directions via Champion Lane and Dog kennel Hill due to Thames Water works. Buses towards Appold Street will not serve stops ‘Quorn Road’(L) to ‘Champion Hill’(Q). Buses towards East Dulwich Sainsburys will not serve stops ‘Champion Hill’(K) to ‘East Dulwich Station’(D). Please allow extra time for your journey.

PS: I think they must mean "via Champion Park, Grove Lane and Dog Kennel Hill".

Thank you for this information but did not understand a word you were saying.

Get a bus to East Dulwich Station, then walk up Melbourne Grove, take the first on the right into Jarvis Road. It's a cul-de-sac with a school at the end, but at the end there is a footpath off to the left which leads into the car park of Tessa Jowell health centre.

It's still a way if you have trouble walking, but might be the closest bus stop.

This is my understanding of 37 route (having been on it today).  Red is current route, blue normal

I don't represent TFL Thames water or anyone else !!

And here, following OOF's more skilful example, is my graphic version (orange line) of the 42 diversion., my understanding being that south of King's College Hospital, it uses Dog Kennel Hill in both directions.  It's superimposed on TFL's own map of the usual route (red line).    No mention here yet of normality restored, so I hope I'm not out-of-date.

    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
    • I’ve been seeing Lisa at goose green clinic for energy work for a year now.  Lisa is kind, caring and hugely supportive. She is wonderfully masterful and trained as a reiki master for 20 plus years. Alongside other energy work.  My time spent with her is like therapy. An emotional safe space for deep conversations and reflection followed by relaxing and energising healing work.  each experience I’ve had has been different, the end result remains the same. Feel lighter, almost euphoric and almost float home. Definitely an experience not to be missed.  https://www.goosegreenclinic.net/therapies/healing-energy-work/
