Any recommendations on where I could go with a laptop and a folder to study today? Need to get out of the house as even though husband is looking after kids, it's hard to concentrate when I hear them downstairs. I've tried having earphones in etc, but it's hard to stop a 2 and 5 year old from wandering upstairs if they're upset (my husband does try!)

Just need to get out, concentrate, get it done and not be so stressed with it all.

Any recommendations? Would likely need a plugpoint as battery won't last the day.

For study / research and a bit of a trip I go to Barbican sometimes, loads of places to sit and get on with stuff. Take headphones if you are worried about background noise.

If public areas are busy, sometimes I go to one of the cinema foyers (just after the film has started, so it's empty and silent).

    • Agreed that Niko is really good: he was helpful and explained everything in detail, and did a good job fixing the problem I had. He was also honest rather than trying to drum up a bigger (more expensive) job for himself by telling me everything needed replacing etc. He charged a very reasonable rate. Will definitely call him when I need a plumber again and would recommend!
    • Sue, Sue, Sue Yes the bus stop at what was The Kings Arms I believe remains closed,  However the stops at the Heaton Arms (no youngster here) is open. Easiest way is a 63 or 363 to Peckham Hill street and change for the 78 which takes you directly to the front door or as good as.
    • I need to go to Asda in the Old Kent Road tomorrow. Theoretically I can get a 78 or 363 bus, but it looks as if the bus stop at East Dulwich Road/Peckham Rye may be closed. I don't know why, but I assume it may be due to gas or water works. Does anybody know if it is just this bus stop, or are other bus stops (or the routes) affected?  I don't want to get a nasty surprise tomorrow, as I have an appointment, so it's time critical.
    • Hi, Have you tried reaching out to breed-specific rescue groups or shelters? Sadly, Cavapoos are one of the most exploited breeds in the UK due to their popularity, so due diligence is crucial. Cavapoos do occasionally pop up for adoption, especially puppies. TWB x
