The Goose Is Out!
The Goose Is Out! The Brothers Gillespie, Adrian Roper, Caroline Stupnicka. The Ivy House, Friday 24 November. Doors 7pm, live music from 8.00pm. https://www.wegottickets.com/thegooseisout Described by Folk Radio UK as ‘weaving an especially compelling magic’, and 'showing off British acoustic music in its best possible light', Northumbrian duo The Brothers Gillespie sing songs of great lyrical power, animated by the sound of soaring sibling harmony, inspired guitar playing and a rich array of acoustic instruments. Their songs and performances have a rare, intimate energy that is both earthy and ethereal, romantic and radical. Adrian Roper and Caroline Stupnicka have both been great supporters of our Singarounds over the years, both live and online. Their singing has gone from strength to strength. Adrian has a quiet gentle approach whilst Caroline, a past winner of Islington Folk Clubs' Trad 2 Mad competition, is a forceful singer who sings from the heart.
