El Pibe
Woody, it's the residents; I recall a conversation with an expat complaining that he had to leave Bradford because the 'bloody p***s' wore their own clothes and spoke their own language and didn't want to be british'The irony was completely lost on him.http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/mar/29/europe-news Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/33661-typical-british-gifts/page/2/#findComment-657116 Share on other sites

stacey-lyn
Make sure you can take whatever foodstuff into your destination (dairy and meat products in particular) otherwise your scotch eggs & haggis, pork pies, jellied eels & stinking bishop could well be confiscated and you may get a hefty fine. Cassius
Very much depends on where you are going - most large European supermarkets sell most of what one would miss/want, however the following might be nice.Proper t-bags that aren't each individually wrapped.English newspaper - online versions are not the same.A more obscure English cheese than Cheddar - again widely available in many places - as suggested Stilton would be nice if allowed.Salt & vinegar crisps Sarsons vinegar - a change from mayo with chips!
