When I lived away from the UK I was always grateful for;

Proper tea (English Breakfast or Earl Grey)

Jaffa Cakes

A box of TeaTime biscuits

Cadburys Dairy Milk ('foreign' Dairy Milk is not created equal....the UK one is the best!!)

Heinz Tomato Ketchup (see Cadburys Dairy Milk :))

Christmas Pudding (you can find them occasionally 'out of season')

Make sure you can take whatever foodstuff into your destination (dairy and meat products in particular) otherwise your scotch eggs & haggis, pork pies, jellied eels & stinking bishop could well be confiscated and you may get a hefty fine.

Very much depends on where you are going - most large European supermarkets sell most of what one would miss/want, however the following might be nice.

Proper t-bags that aren't each individually wrapped.

English newspaper - online versions are not the same.

A more obscure English cheese than Cheddar - again widely available in many places - as suggested Stilton would be nice if allowed.

Salt & vinegar crisps

Sarsons vinegar - a change from mayo with chips!
