Keen to hear people’s recent experiences of applying to Southwark council for a dropped kerb.
We are buying a house in the area and are extremely hopeful of getting one. It doesn’t 100% meet the council’s guidance (space wise the frontage is just short of the minimum length required between house and pavement) but other houses on the street already have a dropped kerb with the same space and, my reading of the guidance, is that the various factors are only factors that ‘may’ prevent the application from being successful.
Also, is anyone here able to say how long they will take to carry out the initial feasibility survey?
