Plumber recommendation

I can also recommend Niko. He fixed a leak and although the job proved more complicated than first thought he didn't give up until it was done. He is friendly, conscientious and his charges are reasonable. He turns up when he says he will and gets the job done. His number is 07818 607583.

I can also recommend Niko (also trades as Taps N Tubs). His number is 07818 607583. He has done several jobs for me, the latest was to repair the side of the bath ( very nicely done) and the sink waste bit... including the removal of the hair monster ( erghghg..... that's a long haired girl thing!). He also has come out late at night to mend pesky leak in the sink. Such a nice man, comes when he says he will, does the job and knows his stuff. And there is no sky high call outs or mad pricing. Just really good service. This is 5 star service with a smile.

I am having him back soon to renew my radiator... imagine... a plumber you actually like to talk to! He's great.

    • You have to use the right extinguisher for the type of fire - water/foam not to be used for live electrical fires for example. A quick Google says powder extinguishers can be used on the most different types of fire. In a public/commercial setting fire extinguishers have to be serviced every year. Not sure the recommendation for residential ones, but when you buy extinguishers and fire blankets check if there's an expiry date.
    • Thanks, yes I need the y piece for the water to go to IN both washing machine AND the dishwasher but the y piece doesn’t fit on the B yellow pipe…  I’m not worried about the waste pipe for now, I’m just concerned about the supply to get water in to both appliances
    • Not sure about the word “input” - do you mean outflow / waste ? Red figure A looks like the sink overflow. If B is the washing machine outflow then that’s where you want your Y fitting. ( assuming all above conjecture is correct). I’d put a cap on that chrome threaded dead connection too. Don’t just rely on the valve. It all looks a bit of a mess TBH 🫣.
