Agreed that Niko is really good: he was helpful and explained everything in detail, and did a good job fixing the problem I had. He was also honest rather than trying to drum up a bigger (more expensive) job for himself by telling me everything needed replacing etc. He charged a very reasonable rate. Will definitely call him when I need a plumber again and would recommend!

Adding my recommendation for Niko too. Found his number on here and he came out at short notice on a busy weeknight to help us with a kitchen sink issue that had flooded our kitchen that day. Really helpful, responsive and went out of his way to fit us in and help us out. Very reasonably priced too - would thoroughly recommend!

A long overdue review for Niko who we have used a number of times over the years, sometimes to properly finish a job that other plumbers have not done properly. He thinks of everything! I only ever use another plumber if it's urgent and Niko is away. A really kind and thoughtful man and totally trustworthy

A slightly delayed review but another one to echo Niko's praises. I had an issue with a cistern that needed replacing and Niko was attentive and did a great job. He was very diligent, explained what he was doing and fixed issues from a previous plumber's work. I will definitely ask for his help again if I have any issues in the future.

Niko was recommended to me through a group chat for my road, where everybody raves about him. I soon realised why as he did an amazing job installing an outdoor tap for me. I needed it done quickly but had a hectic schedule, and Niko did everything possible to accommodate this, bringing the parts and working late on a Friday, having worked out the best solution for my maze of pipes. The tap looks great and works amazingly with good pressure. He made minimal mess and cleaned everything up, and charged me a very competitive price. On top of that he is delightful to chat to and willing to give advice on other matters. He’s a lovely man and will be my go-to for any issues in the future! Recommend to anybody in the Dulwich/ Peckham/Camberwell area!!

Can anyone please provide Niko's number?

Niko's number is 07818 607583

Also here to add a positive review for Niko. Recently moved into a flat that had some terrible plumbing which caused all the outflow from the washing machine to flow out my sink. Was in desperate need of an emergency plumber as was just about to go away too, and Niko responded quickly and came along and helped resolve it without hiked up emergency or callout fees.

After sorting that, also upgraded the shower, and screen in my bathroom which needed replacing; even taking the old materials with him to get rid of.

Really happy with my experience and can't recommend him highly enough.

    • You'll get large thermal swings with south facing glass, even triple glazed and high efficiency glass. Spent some time in a grand designs listed property with modern high tech glass extension and still had huge thermal swing in the extension. Shutters and awnings that shade the windows are most effective.  Temporary canvas sail type awnings are low cost and effective (will need replacing every few years). For upper floors internal cheese cloth style roller blinds are low cost and effective at reducing sun glare heat. For Velux, the black out blinds with the reflective layer significantly reduce heat, though they also stop the light.  We had the external Velux motorised shutters at previous house and they made a huge difference to thermal gain and lose, but blocked the light. For fixed roof windows, try hanging an oversized internal white canvas shade. Weather permitting, open loft / upper floor Velux windows and lower window to use chimney effect air flow from ground to loft to help cool house. Hope this helps
