sandyman
Without wishing to make light of this topic, all of this talk about kids on bikes outside stations queuing up for rich pickings makes me think of this clip. grajm
If the likelihood of being caught doesn’t put them off then the severity needs to. I think the Saudis have it right here - first time you lose a finger, second a hand. Admittedly there are 1 or 2 other things going on in the same story... https://www.riverfronttimes.com/news/swat-team-raids-innocent-family-over-stolen-airpods-dropped-on-their-street-42172867 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/342442-phone-thefts-in-east-dulwich/page/3/#findComment-1660662 Share on other sites
malumbu
I had police raid a house of mine years ago when I was out. Apparently it had been a safe house in the past. Smashed in the front door even though neighbours were telling them it wasn't a safe house. Kindly had it boarded up for me. A famous solicitor, Rex Makin, got a reasonable settlement. Put me off stealing. Not that I was a thief. Bizzies had obtained the search warrant but the process clearly hadn't worked.
