davidh,

Good luck with your new supersized mobility scooter, I love electric cars the one attached in particular. Nikola Tesla's 1930's Piercearrow car powered from 'wireless free radiant energy'. This model having no battery banks to charge harvesting radiant energy from the environment with antennas and using radio tubes to create the electical current for the electric motor.

How we have stepped back in time! Looking at Tesla's 1930's offering I'd rather that than a new Zip car... I hope yours is not a Zip car? According to a nice lady on 'Top Gear' you have a choice of motion with lights on but no screen wipers. I spose you could always pull over clear the screen and continue?

I have noticed that the local Police also need charging, Sainsburys car park the two mentioned electric charging bays are always packed with meat wagons. Another round the corner has a lovely old VW camper parked up against it.

If I may offer you a idea? If in your situation helping to save the world one tree at a time... I'd purcahce an extended heavy duty hook up cable the kind used by window cleaning cradles. Tell you what I bet it don't take you long before you find the need to use it.

Good luck and travel safe.

    • Electrical work can be dangerous, and hiring an unqualified individual can put you and your family at risk. and negate your insurance. A qualified electrician has the training and experience to safely handle any electrical issues, reducing the likelihood of accidents or injuries. With the exception of simple tasks, it is illegal for anyone other than a licensed electrician to perform electrical work. Hiring a qualified electrician ensures that the work is done in compliance with local laws and building codes. Some electricians are being recommended on EDF but here is no indication that they registered with NICEIC or NAPIT.  One is well advised to steer clear of Check-a-Trade which is a marketing service funded by subscription.
    • Didn’t they have a very ‘unusual’ way of allocating council housing which was also criticised in that report and which hopefully has now been changed
