HollieES
We are thinking of a trip to the seaside for a couple of days next week with a 2.5 yo in tow. Can anyone recommend anywhere that isn't a ridiculously long drive? Thinking 3-4 hours max. Beagle
Second all the above suggestions. Also last year we stayed at a lovely campsite above Weymouth that had it's own pebble beach. I think it was no more than 2.5 hours in the car early one Saturday. pommie
Dymchurch is nice, about an hours drive, nice beach only a few amusement arcades and a kids play area where you buy tokens to go on rides. bubbachumps
We were in Norfolk for a long weekend and there were some amazing beaches, very quiet, our 2 year old had a great time. Best beaches we saw were Sea Palling and Mundersley, both long, wide and sandy with lifeguards. It was about a 3.5 hour drive from SE22. alieh
Broadstairs is very easy on the train - you can even avoid going through town by changing in Bromley or else take the fast train from St Pancras. Could be easier than a long drive in traffic if you're just going for a couple of days! Really lovely beach.
