lulu
Hello we moved into a house which already had a loft conversion but we would like to turn this into a Dorma to give us more space. Does anyone know if this is viable? Will we need to be planning permission or building control? Also is it better to use the same company who did the origional conversion? I would prefer to use another company personally.Appreciate any advice you might be able to offer.ThankRoopa Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/34604-existing-loft-conversion-to-dorma-any-advice/ Share on other sites
red devil
Yes it should be viable. You probably don't need planning as the dormer can be built under Permitted Development rights (as long as it's not a dormer on the principal front elevation). You just need to check that the previous loft conversion hasn't used up your PD allowance. You will need Building Control approval, regardless of planning/PD.Personally I would use a company I preferred rather than the original company...
