Microchipping cats

All cats over 20 weeks old now have to be microchipped. Please have your cat microchiped if not already done. Your furry companion can then be returned if he/she becomes lost.

And put an elasticated collar with bell on your cat so that needless deaths and maimings of small birds/mammals be avoided.

Don't forget to register your cat (or dog for that matter) and their microchip number on one of the databases. I use Identibase (www.identibase.co.uk) which Celia Hammond sign cats up to when they microchip them. Makes reuniting missing pets that much easier.

Once signed up , if you move or change your contact details don't forget to update the register with your new details otherwise if kitty gets lost they may never be reunited with you.
