Best to just get in touch with the council. You need to see what works were approved and the scope. It's probably advisable to get an independent legal survey (not a standard RICS) and look at current condition, what they said they'd fix, if they did what they said and what the problems are with what they did. Was it just your flat and the other flat mentioned? Asking in case there's any other leaseholder/ tenant involved -

I would think your solicitor would have asked for a copy of the works when they did the searches. -
If you're finding Stag Beetles then please be really cautious if you have any piles of dead wood, as the larvae live & feed in them for around 7 years before emerging as beetles. Hence why they are endangered, as many people get rid of this kind of stuff when clearing overgrown gardens & land. We regularly used to see them walking across the path in the park near Colyton Road, but not a single one since that area was cleared & mulched by the park staff a few years back...
