Where have all the 'good' dentists gone?

Hi, Could someone please recommend a dentist in the CP / Gipsy Hill / Dulwich area... the dentist we used in Townley Road ED, decided to move back to Ireland mid-treatment! It's very frustrating as he was brilliant (apart from the sudden departure!) others at the same practice seem to pick and choose what work they do, 'oh my area is this only, you need them for that' etc... so you end up seeing 3 different dentists at the same practice. I'm starting to realise a good dentist is like a good plumber... keep hold of them! Would rather go private and not a place where there is many new staff and locum / agency dentists. Thanks!

I'm supposed to be registered with them, but since Mr Freedman died and they moved premises, they have never contacted me for a checkup :(

Which was the dentist at Townley Road who left, as I was thinking of going there instead?

Think it's every year now

I had a tooth pulled last year in the Gardens - and it didn't want to go - its a good practice though.

I have used Mr Yeap at 4 Hannen Road, SE27 next to West Norwood train station for many years. My entire family use this dentist, even those who have moved slightly out of the area. Straight talking dentist that knows his stuff. We've all had good teeth just by keeping up with appointments. 020 8670 8889

    • They’ve backed away from pretending they produce their own goods recently. That claim sat at the centre of the misdirection for years. They’ve now accepted they can’t sustain it, so they’re beginning to highlight the local independent bakeries whose products they actually sell. The business is essentially a courier model running on a slim margin.
    • Another sparrow hawk visor to our cherry tree at the weekend.  Our robin survived, but we may be a sparrow down.     any thoughts on bird feeders & bird baths with the current bird flu?  I try to wash out the bird bath most days when at home, but not on the 3 days in a row that I’m in the office & the bird feeders rather less regularly. Would it be better not to have at all (as my partner thinks)?
    • OOOPS. My daughter just had to pay a five pound fine. I hadn't put a stamp on it. I remember wondering whether to use a  first or second class stamp,  and clearly when I posted it I still hadn't decided (but sadly didn't notice). I feel really bad for suspecting a postie might have  opened it.  Sorry posties.
