Was introduced to some new people last night and the conversation turned to football.

Why do people look embarrassed when they say they support West Ham.

Why do the others then look at him sympathetically.

Why do people try to convince said WH supporter that there is a lot of excitement in getting relegated and promoted randomly.

The west ham conversation always seems to go the same way.

in reality, West Ham are also seen as a bit old school and 'Essex', as with all these things there is some truth in that. No-one in SE22 gonna think those things of someone who supports Arsenal or Chelsea.

Plus Mick, you look like a Bushwacker so they are a bit wary in your prescense

Haha! I can't help shaking my head every time I walk past the ground and see those towers.

Because they know some nearby idiot will look all puzzled at why someone wouldn't support Man U/Man C/Chels/Arse etc.

Because they usually support Man U/Man C/Chels/Arse etc.

There is, THERE IS! We get a chance to go to Wemberlee and everyfing.

Only in certain circles (see above).

Maxii, hit's a bit of a note there. Northeners, and supporters of 'propa' teams tend to look as you as a proper supporter rather than a 'fan', when you say you support West Ham. Twats at work who 'support' Arsenal, Man U and Chelsea and live in Weybridge don't have a scooby

The towers ARE, rightly, a source of embarrassment and help with crowd control. It's hard to surge mob-handed up Green Street with intent, chasing the opposition who were let out early, when you have a giant play-fort at your back.

They also serve to keep us humble when get a bit of a swagger on.

Well, okay, IF we get a bit of a swagger on.

PD I was about to (and still will) post on here fair play to Arsenal. By far the better team today and thoroughly deserved the win. I don't honestly believe that Liverpool turned up and got beat though, I just think we were shit today.

That all said, I hadn't said a word against Arsenal this season, and after your typical reaction, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy watching them fade like a fart in a hurricane LIKE THEY DO EVERY YEAR.

Enjoy.

The same ref did the same thing when the same Arsenal player did the same 'tackle' in the game at Sunderland. At least he's consistent...

I ws being facetious even your own manager doesn't think you're a top team. He was saying AFTER we'd played you that we'd not been tested. Says a lot about what he thinks about his own charges. I have to say if AVB was born in a field of clues, had them for breakfast, lunch and dinner he still wouldn't have a scooby. Allowing someone possibly concussed to carry on playing is the equivalent of handing a blike his car keys when he's been out on the piss and saying carry on. Team progess Jah? A bit like us then. Good to see your top signings are banging the goals in though. That Soldado Pen bloke is proving to be especially effective.

And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. Arteta shouldn't have been sent off against Palace but he was. Love Red Devil questioning ref decsions, coming from a Yanited fan that is hilarious. Like they've never been on the end of favourable decisions.

Oh dear, hit a nerve haven't I? Us? You mean the usual suspects, RD, you and Alan Medic? Not as much we laugh at Spurs old boy. But I hope AVB stays on he's good for a laugh.

Got a message back within a day to say medication ordered from chemist.

    • Oh give it a break.  We have an MP who makes racist comments, yet our media (and what seems like this Forum) that generally hate Labour (and loved Johnson) are just out looking for the dirt. It's a move on, nothing to see here.  Particularly if she used a letting agency.
