I'm pleased for West Ham, and I know Spurs supporters aren't bothered about Europa, but I wish that match hadn't been before the City Everton match later on, as Everton are now more or less guaranteed 5th spot. Even if they don't consciously take their foot off the pedal, you can't help but think that without the urgency...

Seems a case of near and yet so far for Liverpool. Shame and ironic that the possibility of a team winning the EPL playing cavalier attacking football had their hopes crunched by such a negative killjoy as Mourinho.

Lots of harm done. Nothing cavalier about Man City, a team that slows the game down and scores on the counter attack. Mourinho just handed another title to the most expensive team in the country, something the neutral won't want to see.

I thought Liverpool might score their way to the title. I know a lot of Liverpool fans young and old who are gutted. I bet on them as I wanted Brendan Rogers to be successful. Shame they fell short.

Maureen amongst many other of his other distatsteful traits is a massive hypocrite. What was his excsue for todays cock up against the might Norwich. Specialist in failure, how those words have come back to choke him, prick.

Like Palace winning tomorrow?

I didn't take it as nasty at all, nothing at all would surprise me this season.

Whatever happens in the next week, I am hopeful that with CL footy on offer and after the football they've played this season LFC will be able to attract sone quality players to firm up defence especially, then push on and show this wasn't a one season wonder. I believe the owners will fund some good transfers if the players are available.

Besides, we're more attractive than United at the moment ;-)

    • But there's an obvious policy tension here between the police model and the civil model. The police model theoretically acts as a deterrent but, as on Lordship Lane (and many other A-roads where most collisions happen) there is limited enforcement coverage. With the civil model there is the potential for wider enforcement coverage but the penalties are weaker (some may think of speeding as a 'cost of doing business') and funding it is expensive. There's a real risk of patchwork enforcement within a local authority and between local authorities. As I understand it, this is why the Assembly has been cautious in taking it further.

    • Police are responsible for speed cameras, often these only go up after a serious incident or two. If speeding was decriminalised and went to local authorities to enforce then our roads would be safer as there would be far less speeding.   https://www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/what-london-assembly-does/questions-mayor/find-an-answer/enforcement-20mph-zones-local-roads
    • Never understood why there are not more speed cameras on Lordship Lane and the surrounding area - not sure what happened here exactly, but given the damage to the front of the vehicle as a result of the impact of the traffic light, it seems very unlikely that this person was driving slowly.
