Wasn't banking on a 0-5 home defeat having drawn away. Good luck Celtic.

It's BFS banking his excuses early - probably crocked him himself.

In my newly acquired state of optimism I believe this will force Allardyce to do things differently - maybe play the ball on the ground and use Valencia and Z?rate together to create the Premiership's most prolific striking partnership*.

By the way - WTF is Cole still doing there!?

Drogba will be back up for Costa. He won't play every match or do many 90mins stints, but he'll get Chelsea a dozen or so goals which is more than their strikers managed last season...the reason why they didn't win the league. On current standing I'd have them as favs to win the league...

This! No one thinks Drogba has been brought in to be number one. And next summer I expect them to bring another striker in.

Torres is still there because nobody is willing to take on an ageing striker who has failed spectaculary in the last 3 or so years.

Remy was favourite to come to the Arsenal at one point, perhaps Arsene knew something that put him off.

Massive, massive debt (apparently). Feel for the So'ton fans - would try the patience of a saint.

Koeman Tweeted this pic today with the caption ''Ready for #Training!''... :)

Agreed. Hope we don't start the season with Sturridge and Borini as our strike force!

If he's such a "steal" how is it none of the other big clubs have near nor by? Just asking

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
