I would suggest the media and other who should know better stop being so sanctimonious. Step up Spurs legend Gazza. "I don't understand Spurs fans fuss over Wishere's comments. He loves Arsenal , so is bound to hate Spurs. Spurs fans should be more worried about embarrassed by Arsenal every season". Is what he did as bad as the neo Nazis at CSKA Fulham during their day out in Paris, is it as offensive as the songs sung by certain sections of Liverpool support about the Munich air disaster or certain sections of the Yanited support about Hillsborough? There is a plethora of items for the esteemed members of the press and media to be morally outraged by and they choose this?

I did Jah and this wasn't aimed at you, but at Otta. I find the over the top reaction to Wilshere's bit of nonsense laughable, especially coming from the torygraph, and the fact that despite the lambasting the rag gets on here, someone chooses to use it to highlight a so called issue.

Encourage them to do what exactly, join in a chant they've been singing for years? A chant that contains the word shit? And that upsets your sensibilities does it?

Oh FFS, no it doesn't upset my sensibilities. Jah said something about enjoying your victory rather than having a poke at your rivals, so I said well the players are having a dig at their rivals. That was it, I didn't criticise him, I didn't make a judgement, I merely pointed out that it had happened.

And you think I'm the sensitive one? Pot and kettle mate.

Kane will definitely stay at Spurs this summer. I think what happens at Real Madrid will decide a lot of the big transfer business this summer, who they buy and then subsequently sell, with Barca's transfer embargo they are top of the food chain at the moment. If De Gea signs for them hopefully we'll get someone decent like Benzema in return...

Barca's transfer embargo has come at a good time for them. It's not like they're short of quality. Are they alloweds to sell?

Benitez said he shouldn't comment too much about Sterling because he's another club's player, which is code for he'll soon be our player. With Rogers staying at the pool, Sterling looks certain to be off. A move somewhere like Real could be good for England (if he can get a game) and frankly I'd rather have a nice transfer fee than a player who doesn't want to play for his club. Just not sure I trust Rogers to spend said fee.

People here told me to let this drop many times, but it turns out that it's become part of FIFAs ability to buy the right end result. It also reflects badly on the FAI.

Fifa paid the Football Association of Ireland 5m euros (?3.6m) to stop legal action after France controversially beat Ireland in a World Cup play-off.

FAI chief executive John Delaney said he believed they had a case against Fifa after French striker Thierry Henry's handball in the 2009 match.

Delaney said a "legitimate agreement" was made to drop the claim after Ireland missed the 2010 World Cup.

The FAI first requested that they be allowed to be the 33rd team at that WC, which Blatter made a joke about. Delaney said in his meeting with Blatter that he used some choice swear words to let him know what he thought of him.

I doubt the FAI could have afforded a legal case and how could they seriously consider they might have won it? It's sport after all and shit happens. I'm not sure what the FAI should have done but up until recently Delaney was saying there was a confidential agreement in place with FIFA which he couldn't speak about. Yet now he does.

As the money wasn't going into someone's pocket, as far as we know, what should a poor Football Association have done when it was a case of take it or nothing? I'm not sure but I'd have liked the offer to have been made public at the time it was made and FIFA told to stuff it.

Yes you should let it drop. If I remember rightly one of Irelands opponents during the qualify rounds had a stone wall penalty turned down and they, as far as I'm aware, didn't make the same amount of fuss the Irish did. We all know FIFA are toxic to the core, but FAI haven't exactly covered themselves in glory by taking their money. It gives the impression they are more interested in the money than the integrity of the beautiful game.

Just in in case YOU hadn't noticed Declan, Handball incident clearly mentioned, so what are you claiming I've missed? I also make mention of the payment which is the new development, again what am I missing?

    • What was he doing on the stage at Glastonbury? Or on the stage at the other concert in Finsbury Park? Grinning like a Cheshire cat whilst pissed and stoned 20 somethings on the promise of free internet sung-- Oh Jeremy Corbyn---  What were his policies for Northern mining towns with no jobs or infrastructure? Free Internet and university places for youngsters. What were his other manifesto pledges? Why all the ambiguity over Brexit?  I didn't like Thatcher, Blair or May or Tony but I respected them as politicians because they stood by what they believed in. I respect all politicians across the board that stick to their principles. Corbyn didn't and its why he got  annihilated at the polls. A socialist, anti imperialist and anti capitalist that said he voted for an imperialist and pro capitalist cabal. He refused to say how he'd vote over and over again until the last knockings. He did so to appease the Islington elite and middle class students he was courting. The same people that were screaming that Brexit was racist. At the same time the EU were holding black and Asian immigrants in refugee camps overseas but not a word on that! Corbyn created and courted a student union protest movement that screamed at and shouted down anyone not on the left . They claimed Starmer and the centre right of labour were tories. He didn't get elected  because he, his movement and policies were unelectable, twice. He turned out not to have the convictions of his politics and died on his own sword.    Reform won't win an election. All the idiots that voted for them to keep out Labour actually enabled Labour. They'll be back voting tory next time.    Farage wouldn't be able to make his millions if he was in power. He's a very devious shyster but I very much doubt he'd actually want the responsibility that governance requires.
    • The purge of hard left members that were part of Corbyn's, Mcdonnel's and Lansmans momentum that purged the party of right wing and centrist members. That's politics. It's what Blair did to win, its what Starmer had to do to win. This country doesn't vote in extreme left or right governments. That's partly why Corbyn lost  We're pretty much a centrist bunch.  It doesn't make it false either. It's an opinion based on the voting patterns, demography and statistics. Can you explain then why former mining constituencies that despise the tories voted for them or abstained rather than vote for Corbyns Labour?  What is the truth then? But he never got elected!!! Why? He should have been binned off there and then. Why he was allowed to hang about is an outrage. I hold him party responsible for the shit show that we've had to endure since.
