The crazy thing is, despite playing crap it could happen, it's been that sort of season. I've no idea how we ended up top in November...

Worth a mention:

As a result of the ongoing troubles engulfing Bolton, the club announced earlier in this week that it could not pay this month?s wages as they wait for permission to buy an extra piece of land in order to push through the sale.

However, it has now emerged the side?s manager and his staff have dipped into their own pockets in a desperate attempt to come to the rescue of employees, thought to be around 300, who have been given empty pay packets.

Every cloud has a silver lining, that's one game closer to LVG's P45.

I watched the West ham game, I thought they were great, Payet is a little genius.

Looking forward to seeing Alli's goal on MOTD tonight Jah, supposed to be a world class finish. If you don't mind I'll save my man crush for the Euros only...

I think West Ham are genuinely a top 6 team this year - i'd only actually put Arsenal, City, begrudgingly Spuds and you have to say Leicster actually ahead of us, but it's not often that you can say you think you are genuinely a better team than Liverpool or United. Thought we were absolutely excellent today and we've still key players out, If Payet isn't in the french squad then they must have some players I don't know about! the bloke is moving into Di canio territory for me in terms of his genius AND he plays for the whole team too. Careful what we wish for eh :)

Interesting.

I remember Celtic losing 4-0 to St Mirren and hoping Mowbrey would be sacked. Same with John Barnes and supercaleyarefantasticcelticareatrocious

No spellchecker. But edited for spelling.

Five points this weekend.

1. Payet is what makes West Ham tick and top six certainties, without him they are mid-table mediocrities. Still, they are making good progress under Slavin Bilac. I take them to finish 5th. In the French squad Payet probably has Pogba ahead of him but I'm sure they can accommodate him as Pogba can play several positions.

2. How many people still calling Spurs a one-man team? We have quality all over the pitch. Very pleased with the progress we are making under Mauricio Pochettino.

3. Is it just me but does anyone else find Jurgen Klopp's antics on the touchline undignified and unbecoming of a manager. Especially when he celebrates Liverpool scoring a goal.

4. Jose Mourinho's begging letter to Man Utd is pathetic. How the mighty have fallen. If he wants to prove himself as a top manager he should join a club like Swansea, Norwich or Bournemouth where there isn't endless pots of money to dip into in the transfer market.

5. I keep thinking Leicester City will start to fall away from the top of the table but there they are still. I hate to say it but I think Arsenal will win the title and I think it will be Spurs and Leicester to run them close. Man City as much as you admire them going forward their defence is very shaky without Vincent Kompany.

End of season prediction

Top four

Arsenal

Spurs

Leicester

Man City

Relegated

Villa

Sunderland

Norwich.

How very English of you.

I have issues with the way Liverpool defend. I couldn't care less if the manager acts like an excited child when they score, I just want them to work on defending bloody set pieces.

Still, cracking match.

Spurs second? Hmmm.

transfer market.

Didn't he already do this winning the UEFA Cup and then Champions League with Porto. The EPL is not the only benchmark.

I certainly hope so if it means avoiding Europa. Basically if you're not in the top 4 then you may as well be in 17th, it makes absolutely no difference (look at Leicester).

And the supposed letter has been denied by his agent.

If you've taken the point what's the point of saying there not short of a few bob. It's the Portuguese league. They may be big there but their few bob is a mere pittance compared to several European leagues.

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
