I'm a big supporter of car clubs, but this one is outrageously expensive! A half an hour journey works out to double the rate of zipcar. Is there anyone out there using them? And if so, why?

Only two scenarios I can think of that would make it preferable to Zipcar:

1) specifically if I didn't want to perform a return journey (e.g. I was using public transport for the other leg)

2) if I was doing a return, with a big break between the two legs (we often ZipCar over to Wandsworth, say, and then come back four or five hours later, and end up paying for the dead time when the car is parked up)

Finally got around to signing up for Car2Go... only to find that they seem to have vanished from the area.

Actually now that you've mentioned it.. The bays are always empty. Guess the cars to go have gone.

A few zip cars have 'changed' location too? Now on Felbrigg rather than Ulverscroft?

Car2Go have indeed left and now only operate in Islington.

So if you use their cars now you have to start and finish your journey in Islington?

Car2Go didn't have bays allocated to it. The ZipCars do, though.

There's always been one on Felbrigg, it just seems that they've put a Van there now instead of the Polo.
