Lo is now successfully potty trained, hoorah!

We're going on holiday next month and will no doubt spend all day on the sandy beach so...what's the etiquette? Take potty for her to use then then dig a big hole in the sand to discard of contents? Pour it in the sea? ( can't imagine that's very pleasant for anyone) or try and find a bit of "shrubbery"?

I doubt we'll be able to persuade her to just wade in the sea and go...

And as for number 2's?! It's a minefield!

Last time I went to Camber Sands, the state of the toilets was so bad that I'd rather have pissed in a hole! Plus there was a really steep sand dune between the beach and toilets, which would have been tough to get up and over quickly with small children. Of course every beach is different, so best to be prepared.

I am having a flashback to the Barmouth rock pool floating poo incident of 2004. Serves me right for letting child gambol naked in the water.

It was wholly traumatic. I spent ages trying to anchor the blighter down with rocks, in the end I sort of penned it in with driftwood and draped seaweed over while hoping the tide came in quickly

Shudders

    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
    • Hey, I am interested. I had started a club last year however everyone slowly dropped off but I am always up for morning runs and some evening runs too.
