Anyone on PlusNet?

Virgin media keep upping the monthly cost for broadband. It's a reliable service but getting expensive. Anyone have any experiences of PlusNet? Look like a nice friendly Northern company...

Plusnet are about to increase their prices by a pound a month, but I've been with them for a while now and have found them very good.

I've rarely had problems with the broadband itself, and their customer service is excellent.

Thanks Sue, that's good to know. Even with a ?1 increase, they are going to be a lot cheaper than Virgin.

Yes - as the line is essentially provided by BT, the speeds etc aren't really specific to PlusNet (I think), but their Customer Service is excellent. AND if a member of EDF recommends you, they save ?1/month off their bill too ;)

I have been with plus net for years. Excellent customer services and competitive pricing. I a bit of a technophobe so don't know much about speeds and downloads but they have suited my needs.

I was looking yesterday KK (BT Having messed me around AGAIN).

Unlimited broadband and anytime calls (including 0845 / 0870 numbers) for about ?20 a month for 9 months then 25 - 30 odd quid thereafter.

Cheers Otta, just checked that link - ?15 of that per month is line rental. This is my bugbear with home broadband.

I'm probably gonna stick with using neighbour's WiFi, for a contribution towards his monthly costs.

We had BT infinity 2 fibre for more than a year with a solid download speed of 67mbps and 17mbps upload. Last week moved to Plusnet and everything is exactly the same, but just ?19.99 per month (and 6 months half price). BTW, both the services are truly unlimited and BT mentioned that we use more than a TB of data download per month.
