Mick Mac
About to buy a new mobile to checking on networks. My wife wants me to change to T mobile...."3" has been great for me for years but anytime I go outside London on short breaks etc its pretty rubbish, but its good in ED.I'm not so concerned about calls as mostly i text - but streaming Netflix on way to work etc. for example. I'd like to get better coverage when on hols in the UK (incl Nortnern Ireland etc) but don't want to move to a network that doesn't work in ED. Which network has the best balance? Otta
Might be my imagination, but t-mobile doesn't seem so good since they started using EE's network. El Pibe
didn't t-mobile always piggy back off orange?EE is deutsche telekom and france telecom buying t-mobile and orange (and what with O2 being spanish, soon womanofdulwiuch is going to struggle to sign up to anyone!!), they've certainly the resources ot invest in the infrastruture as we head to 4g.I've recently swtiched from O2 to vodafone and am pretty unimpressed with data on both. I don't know if this is less to do with specific providers and more that 3g is creaking under the amount of data usage following the smart phone revolution.Just make sure your new mobile is 4g compatible I reckon. Otta
No, t-mobile and orange hooked up a few years ago so you could use either network, but they were still separate. MrBen
Networks and signals in most of London are deteriorating generally as they're not keeping up with demand. The voice quality and strengths I was getting even 4-5 years ago are nowhere near that now. There are a few technical reasons for this (I'll spare you).I'm on the new EE 4G and the reality is that I only get a 4G signal in certain parts of central london and one spot in Camberwell. So coverage is not there yet.
