I am now 34 years old and am keen to retake my GCSE in Maths. I know it probably sounds strange but it has always been at the back of my mind that I would like to achieve a C or above grade. At School I worked so hard and even with extra tuition got a D.

Does anyone know of any good adult education courses, either online or in the evenings/weekends?

Good luck!

I'm a maths teacher (in a sec Sch not of adults) and I reckon you will find it easier than when you were 15/16. Your adult common sense will help you avoid silly mistakes and you will be much better able to ask for help where you need it. Go for it!

Also there's no coursework now :)

I know someone who did an access course for uni and needed to resit maths at the same time. She was 40 and she got a B! More mature people have made a decision to do these things and are usually very good with self-discipline. You would need to have a timetable and make sure to study when you are not too tired. Good luck!

    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
    • Hello, Does this lovely little panther have a name? & Is he neutered & microchipped?
    • Well I don’t approve for a shop doing the same food to open so near - just wrong in my opinion. Why not go to the village, Peckham - foot fall would be great in Peckham and certainly more multi  cultural than ED. Village has money but doubt foot fall would be as good as ED.  At least they could have gone to the stretch leading up to Peckham Rye or why not bottom of Barry Road?? Or even North Cross Road I for one, on principal won’t be going in.
    • Heh yeah haven't even bothered to remove the emdash. The OP is AI slop as well.
