Fijifish
I am now 34 years old and am keen to retake my GCSE in Maths. I know it probably sounds strange but it has always been at the back of my mind that I would like to achieve a C or above grade. At School I worked so hard and even with extra tuition got a D. Does anyone know of any good adult education courses, either online or in the evenings/weekends? JessM
Good luck!I'm a maths teacher (in a sec Sch not of adults) and I reckon you will find it easier than when you were 15/16. Your adult common sense will help you avoid silly mistakes and you will be much better able to ask for help where you need it. Go for it!Also there's no coursework now :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35330-adult-gcse-maths/#findComment-670664 Share on other sites
uncleglen
I know someone who did an access course for uni and needed to resit maths at the same time. She was 40 and she got a B! More mature people have made a decision to do these things and are usually very good with self-discipline. You would need to have a timetable and make sure to study when you are not too tired. Good luck! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35330-adult-gcse-maths/#findComment-670674 Share on other sites
