How long are you looking for? I always thought a great idea would be to ask on the forum if anyone is having building works done in their house and needed to escape the chaos for a few weeks/months/whatever you need. Likely to be families and local? It's a win win. Just an idea, no experience of it (although would love the opportunity next March if that's when you need someone :0)). Good luck!

We're looking for a housesitting gig for 3-4 weeks over Xmas and early January for my parents to come and visit if that suits anyone!

There are often posts looking for housesitting (both wanted and offered) on the Residential Property section of the EDForum.

We need someone for the last two weeks of september, however we left ED just over a year ago now and live in rural Kent so the house sit is more of a country retreat than city break!! Car driver essential!!

It's lovely here and very relaxing but sadly there is no local forum to ask these things! Everyone locally seems to be working 24 7 at the moment harvesting!!

    • @Penguin68 I find your post really weird and frankly  a bit creepy. The discussion is about the fact that a charity shop has a sale on and whether their pricing and stock policy has changed. To twist that into an attack on government fiscal policies and an oblique snipe at the cross party supported assisted dying legislation, passed with clear support from the majority of the public, is just bafflingly bizarre. I am relieved that you stopped short of blaming Southwark Council or TfL. There is no contradiction between the intent of the assisted dying bill and the work of hospices, it does not force doctors to do anything and suicide doesn’t exist- it was abolished as a crime in 1961.  If you wish to raise yet another argument you have already lost, I suggest you start a new thread rather than divert this one off topic.

    • Another stinker, thank goodness for the international break. Week 3 points...   Week 3 table...
