Yup - definitely cats. A pump action water pistol every time we saw one did the job for a while - but we've clearly let our guard slip. Currently our tiny garden is being protected by chilli flakes, coffe grounds and a liberal sprinkling of ant cat stink powder. Effective but horrid.

Really do fancy one of the motion detected sprinklers....

Brought some poo into the house today on my shoes, so not happy. Thought I'd start a thread, but assumed that this would be something that had been aired before. Well knock me down with a feather, what perfect timing!

We use a cat scarer with a laser light and a wailing sound. I then notice a fox in a neighbour's garden who shows a slight bit of interest. Cat's repsond quite slowly but eventually walk away. Obvious problem is that you have to be there. I fancied an air rifle, which I would use against the rats with long furry tails, but they cost quite a lot, and I'd probably get prosecuted for animal cruelty.

We've thought about lion poo for some time, particularly knowing people from ZSL. But hey presto, search it on Google, and plenty of hits, ignore Amazon coz they are scumbags (IMO) and try somewhere like http://www.primrose.co.uk/silent-roar-cat-repellent-05kg-p-791.html?cPath=24_312&source=googleads&gclid=CPPGyoy_irkCFeXMtAodhBEAlA

    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.

    • Why would mice move? It’s not so much they move as multiply and spread    copy and paste rather than cut and paste  mice can and should be dealt with.  But not easily or with guarantees  i would say most people in se22 reading this have mice. Whether they know it or not
