Beware new bus lane camera on Lordship Lane near junction of Overhill Road

you ask me the question whether you can make the turn at Overhill without clipping the bus lane. Of course you can

So if there is zero need to enter the bus lane and there are signs and road markings making it clear that it is a bus lane, where is the 'trap' exactly?

I’m assuming all this tedious nonsense about bus lanes is the result of your getting caught in one? If so, and if you believe the circumstances were unfair, perhaps try appealing the fine before creating a whole conspiracy narrative across multiple threads?

…thats assuming you weren’t just cutting up the inside of some traffic to turn left of course.

Earl, you appear to have missed/ignored my question to you...;-)

The question is a nonsense; a typical attempt at deflection. There is no reason to drive in either bus lane (as you’ve accepted). So there is no ‘trap’.

Nah...it's a legitimate question in the context of the thread and discussion. And a question you clearly are not prepared to answer - we can only hazard a guess as to why.....;-)

I'll answer, it's an irrelevant question as anyone with proper control of their vehicle would.t clip the white line in either junction. Time to move on...

Ha ha....another who is afraid to answer....

All of the assembled evidence presented is clear (to anyone not blinkered by their own vested interest)....;-)

Malumbu - I am not sure you're allowed to say that anymore are you....haven't you been warned about that before?

Anyway, as a community-minded person I am merely looking out for my neighbours and postcode peers - so watch out folks - Southwark is laying revenue-generating traps for you - be one your guard!!!

There-ends the public service announcement.....;-)

The number of successful appeals is very small, but shows that the system works in that occasionally PCNs could be issued incorrectly/there were special circumstances.

My two appeals in the distant past were not successful and whilst I felt a bit like Rockets at the time I now realise it was futile as I did not have a valid reason.  So this whole thread about you being upset about a justified bus lane fine won't change a thing.  Another thread that to me feels pointless so I am now no longer posting on this one too.  Very liberating

    • For some strange reason, hubby likes to spend 'big' on family cards birthday and Christmas. I think it may have stemmed from his mother- she equated money with status and was a bit of a snob!  She was also quite eccentric - we asked for a suitcase one year and got a set of 4. One year she gave hubby the equivalent of a hearing aid - it was a device to hear bird song. Nobody we know send expensive cards. We have a twice yearly set of cards from the Foot and Mouth Painting Artists and have done for the last 30 plus years. I think they are around £12 for set of 10  - cannot remember what we paid this winter but they are fantastic value and beautiful paintings.  One of the best places around to buy cards is the Fair Trade Centre at Christ Church Barry Road. Fantastic selection with a starting price of £1.30.
