Double yellows

Last week the started painting new double yellow lines along the EDG near the junction with DV. They could not finish the job as a car was parked there. It was there Monday thro' Friday.

The contractors came back today with a hoist truck and lifted the car onto the back of the truck and I fully expected to see the truck drive off and take the car to the pound.  .But no, the truck parked up further along and then the yellow lines were duly painted. With that job done the truck driver off-loaded the car exactly where it was previously. Isn't that gratifying

Very gratifying.

It's been there now for 3 hours and hasn't had a ticket.

Nah, the lines are applied hot and cool down quickly so the trucker didnt have to wait more than 5 minutes.

The good news is that the owner drove the car away around 5pm without a ticket.
