Orphanage -- London?

Hello,

I would love to donate some items to a local orphanage (close to E. Dulwich). Can anyone recommend one that may be reallllly in need of clothes and children's toys?

I think you will find that orphanages are a thing of the past most are now children's homes and children are kitted out either by the local authority or by the voluntary agency managing the home.

I would suggest you find whether a local church or voluntary group are sending clothes abroad to Rumania/Africa etc where orphanages are more common place

Oh is it! Okay! Learn something new everyday! Thanks for the info. A local church is a brilliant idea. Sending to Africa/Romania, hmmmmm., I rather help babies in the UK first.

I'm sure there is something on lordship lane. I've seen posts on here before asking for donations of childrens items - nappies etc. anyone else remember? Some kid of hostel?

Yes? Search for hostel on Barry road - long thread and they are always needing baby & children items particularly it seems
