I am getting married next year and due to a number of reasons, mrs feuerberg to be hasn't got an engagement ring yet. I have been trying invein to advertise my service' in East Dulwich as a photographer to both grow my business and to earn some extra cash so that I can buy a ring before the wedding which is June next year.

I might get critisised by the east dulwich forum police for doing this but I want to offer 10 portrait sessions for ?100 each. Included in these sessions will be a disk of 10 high res images with reproduction rights. These sessions will, after tax, make me enough money to buy a ring that I have seen. Its not a big rock but she will like it. The idea is that she gets a ring, I get to give her the ring and you get some lovely images of you and your family. I can also offer corporate headshots and would be happy to offer these as well. The point is I need to raise ?700 before christmas which is when I proposed.

I offer portraits and I offer family photos and whist we still have some summer left, and with Autumn looming, I would love to get out and get shooting...

FEEDBACK - I would really appreciate you advice.

What would attract you to buying a portrait session?

What would you look for in a photographer?

What products can I offer?

Whats stopping you investing in some photos of your family?

Kind regards

Liam

Feedback:

Nothing would attract me to a portrait session, because I simply can't afford it. Even if I could, I can think of far more important things to spend my money on.

If you can't afford an expensive ring, go for a cheaper one.

It's the thought that counts & I'm sure she will like it, however much it costs.

No sales pitch.

Unlurked: It's a genuine offer. It's important for me to try and raise some money. Photography is what I do so its the obvious choice to start there.

Aquarius moon: Thank you for your comment. I would like to buy her a particular ring. If I can't afford it, I'll to rethink.

Hi Jeremy,

I am happy to offer this because everyone involved gets something out of it. I appreciate your support. If any readers are interested and get in touch, please let me know that you've seen this on the forum.

    • The events section on here isn't that big! There are presently only 20 events on there for the whole of February! It's just taken me about ten seconds to scroll through to see what's on! Also, where did you sign up for this summary email? Is it definitely coming from this forum, as I can't see it mentioned anywhere?
    • I'm a bit confused. You posted less than half an hour ago (as I type) but at the bottom of your post on what seems to be a screenshot dated yesterday evening  it says you found it? If you haven't, can you not contact the charity shop directly in case they still have it?
