The stools are the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on - guess that ensures quick turn around.

Bar staff lovely, had snacks which were ok but not what I was expecting. Lunch time menu was still on display which led to some confusion.

To be fair, I was in a hurry, would like to go back when I have more time, but I would take a thick jumper to fold up under my bottom.

ETA these comments refer to Refreshment Rooms, not trendy Lot 9.

Ah I think you miss the point Peckhamgatecrasher, Hipster venues are supposed to be uncomfortable. Taking a pillow or jumper means you dont get the full effect of eating good food in a edgy environment with the wonderful smells of Rye Lane wafting in the air as you tuck into a sicilian aubergine and borlotti bean dish. It's ironic doncha' know? :)

Have now - before I saw this. Yes Lot.9 opposuite Bar Story is a different thing and IS a pop up, whereas Peckham Refreshment Rooms nearer the station on other side is 'permanent'.

    • Are these people connected to Reform? I googled what you googled, and I couldn't see anything about that?
    • Are the collectors on M&S property?  Iirc it's previously been their practice to be on a shop's premises, even with permission, so as to avoid any action against them for street collecting.  If so now, I think it would be for the shop to tell them to leave and enforce their doing so.  I think in theory the police can be asked to come along and stand by in case of any resulting violence or breach of the peace from the collectors.
    • I googled “We R Blighty investigation” and well.  Wow  also reform are massively ahead in the polls People need to start calling out people for what they are and stop pretending reform, the flag hangers and related charities are somehow a normal political party/movement   dark forces are rising
