beansprout
Your point being what? Kids in face masks all in black? Being going on in ED for years.. wake up, gangs are around or is this first time you have been aware.. No doubt your hubby walked away - probably ran when he felt safe.. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/361842-phone-robber/#findComment-1713640 Share on other sites
Angelina
The fact is, high spec phones are worth money. Be secure - passwords, face recognition, strong passwords for your banking etc. Get your phones backed up. Get your phone insured. Don't fight if you are being robbed. It’s just a phone. Be safe. Annoying as it is, it’s prolific and you can take steps to minimise your chance of being targeted. Earl Aelfheah
Wearing a balaclava and hood in 30 degree heat should certainly be grounds for police to stop and search / question you. If it’s not grounds for suspicion I don’t know what is. 8 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/361842-phone-robber/#findComment-1713647 Share on other sites
SalmonKing Posted Thursday at 15:43 Share Posted Thursday at 15:43 Just saw one of them on lordship lane scanning the area on the sidewalks in a hood and mask on an e-bike. I just pointed at them pretending that I was on the phone with the cops and he darted away. Absolute scum. Hard problem to solve. I'm hopeful there are strategies in place to keep our community safe for this but it's troubling. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/361842-phone-robber/#findComment-1713989 Share on other sites
jazzer Posted Thursday at 15:58 Share Posted Thursday at 15:58 (edited) Try pavement, this is London, not the US. The Mayor increased his proportion of council tax in 2025/26 to pay for "more" haha PC's but my understanding is they were cut not increased. A ruse by the Mayor to take more and give nothing in return. Troubling and far too common here. Just be careful where you get it out Edited Friday at 09:15 by jazzer Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/361842-phone-robber/#findComment-1713991 Share on other sites
