vladi
At 00.56am on Tuesday this scrote was filmed entering our car. He had a face mask and all dark clothing however the clothing had certain distinguishing features. Perhaps someone can identify the writing on the jacket and trousers. See video clip below Pleased to say he went away empty handed as we leave nothing of any value in the car. Angelina
surely there are fingerprints? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/362672-thief-caught-on-camera/#findComment-1709413 Share on other sites
vladi
As nothing appears to have been taken, apart from a bottle of water, the police probably would not be interested taking prints. But the clothing is quite distinctive and combined with the fact that it is white, male, brown hair, medium build. Not a professional I guess as most thieves go out with a back pack to carry a couple of tools and also into which they can store their loot Edited June 5 by vladi Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/362672-thief-caught-on-camera/#findComment-1709424 Share on other sites
Angelina
they should be interested - you've had someone trespass on your property and break into your car, and there is clear record of that 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/362672-thief-caught-on-camera/#findComment-1709425 Share on other sites
jazzer
Vladi, sorry to hear this has happened to you. Was the car locked and if so do you know how he was able to unlock it? The suspect looks quite young. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/362672-thief-caught-on-camera/#findComment-1709427 Share on other sites
HeadNun
I would report this to the police - the footage is excellent and he's pretty distinguishable. This won't be his first time doing this and it will help police link him to other crimes by cross-matching your CCTV to other surveillance. Definitely contact them. 3 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/362672-thief-caught-on-camera/#findComment-1709428 Share on other sites
vladi
It's been suggested that he may be on drugs because some like ecstasy makes one thirsty. Was that why he stole the bottle of water? But what is strange is that he went in via the front door and reached in towards the rear. He then tilted the rear seat backrests forward so that he could reach right into the back. He did this rather than open a rear or the rear hatch. Go figure! 7 hours ago, jazzer said: Vladi, sorry to hear this has happened to you. Incidentally, our neighbour no longer locks his car because he has had a side window smashed twice now because of thieves breaking in.
