Great Garden Designer

Danby Minogue

Recommended Posts

We've just had our Danby Street garden re-imagined, re-engineered and re-planted by Nigel Hawkins. Frankly, its fantastic. What impressed me about him when I met him was the number of solutions he had to our garden's myriad problems. He and his men did a great job tearing up the concrete patio and laying decking, putting out a beautiful lawn that is thriving and then planting up the borders in a way that makes them look very established, even though they have been here just a matter of weeks. He's a bit of a hippy, with an off-kilter take on life, but he has a focussed intelligence that is evident everywhere in his work. It took a bit of time for it all to come together, but the end result is very good indeed.

His number is 07961 888253

What a lovely recommendation. Thank you Mark. I guess my passion for putting people & their families in this great big city in touch with nature is a bit hippyish. I love what I do & the ideas seem to come from listening hard to my customers needs. My self,my son & our small team will always do everything we can to make our customers happy.

I like this forum & it's usefullness to the community & it's artisans. Right now, I am just finishing off a really interesting project & have space for new work from next week. I refer you to my gardening tips for the month if you want something to do in the garden when it stops raining! I'm always available to answer any questions about your gardens or offer solutions to problems by phone or a quick visit without charge if needed.

Once again, thankyou Mark to you & your lovely family for the work & recommendation.

    • Yes I do have a vague idea of what's going on in the world, thanks Sephiroth, for explaining it all out to me though. The point I was trying to make, rather badly, because I'm busy and shouldn't be on here, is that I'm sure Jazzer didn't used to be this extreme. Either he's moved into wind-up territory, which people do do on here to keep themselves entertained, or he's just moving further along a spectrum as he gets older, which many people also do.
    • Thank you for responding. I’m Carl Salawa’s little sister. I was nearly 8 when the incident happened. It’s still a very painful and sensitive topic in my family, so I never really asked too many questions growing up, but what I do know is this: Carl had just turned 18 and was on his way home that evening after spending time with his girlfriend and a small group of friends. The police claimed he jumped to his death, but his friends and some residents said he was being chased by police around the estate and that he fell. The toxicology report showed he had no alcohol or drugs in his system. Carl was well loved, an army cadet, and had just enlisted in the Army or Air Force. He had recently gotten engaged to his long-term girlfriend. He truly had everything to live for. Thank you again for remembering and for speaking about it. It really means a lot, especially with so little available publicly.
    • Another recommendation for Roger. He came round promptly to inspect my loft as I was worried I had mice in there. He checked it thoroughly and found no evidence of pests, and refused to take any payment for the trouble of coming out! Thank you Roger!
    • you may not have met them - but you've seen them on the streets protesting outside hostels. You've seen them in the 30% support for Reform. You may not have met them, but they sure do exist
