Help - need venue for a 30th next Sunday

Hi - A local east dulwich establishment has let a friend down and can no longer host their birthday. My friend ideally wants a private room (or something thats almost a private room) in a pub which can serve a Sunday dinner to approx 15 ppl. There will be people dropping in and out during the afternoon but as they want to do a quiz for the guests later in the day they ideally wants their own room so we are not disturbing anyone. Any suggestions in the ED, Herne Hill, Brixton and Camberwell area welcome!

I did this a few years ago in the back room of the Thai restaurant on LL, Sema (diff name now, but same family run it).

I had a similar no of guests.

The back room had a polycarbonate treble-ply roof so wasn't the warmest in January, but you'll be OK in Sept.

Good luck.

ETA:

Didn't have quiz though, but we were quite loud as large groups usually are.

    • Yes, I saw my first of the season a few days ago and now I'm seeing lots of them!
    • Always prefer to support non chains - so many lovely places with good food to choose from with pleasant staff who know about customer service and sadly, non English which says a lot for our culture,   ? Does your broadbrush bias extend to Welsh, Scottish and N Irish/Irish waiting staff also or is it only non-native speakers that you admire unconditionally?! Hospitality staff are a varied lot, as are their moods and attitudes at any one given time.
    • I've noticed the same, thankfully they're too fluttery for my cat to catch. I've noticed the white ones always seem to travel in pairs?
    • Jersey Moths are about and have been for the last fortnight or so.
