izzybob
Hi there. I was wondering if anyone knows of local nurseries that take toddlers for half days? Our son is 2 and a bit and I'm beginning to think that think he'd benefit from mixing with more children. I'm currently at home with our baby so can't really justify full day sessions, but think I would benefit too!I've heard good things about Magic Moments, but we live near ED station and I don't drive so would have limited time to do anything else if he went there. Thanks very much in advance! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/36401-half-day-nurseries/ Share on other sites
Suzanne Cummings
I'd recommend Oak Tree nursery on Tell Grove. My 2.5 year old daughter goes there 2 mornings a week currently & my elder daughter has just finished there as she's just started school. It's scruffy but small & caring. Maria the manager is great. Cora
Amott Road nursery on Adys Rd (near you) is a great introduction to nursery, is cheap and only does mornings. They have a Facebook page for details and take children from 2 and half, so worth putting their name down now and asking about him starting when he reaches that age? The reason it is cheaper than others is because it is parent run (minimal input), therefore a charity not run for profit. The nursery manager and workers are professionals though. I have had two children go there until they started school nursery and they both still talk about it with affection. It is based in the church (not to be confused with little jungle on the same rd). You can call in to look around any morning, around 10 am is probably the best time. Hope this helps in your search.
