A fox cub was sadly ran over 15-20 minutes ago on Chadwick road. He died shortly after from his injuries. The driver did not stop but a nice man stayed with the fox to prevent more cars running over him and because ‘it is a life’. He then respectfully put him near the pavement.

Who can we call to dispose of the body please?

Try Fox Angels.

They respond very quickly locally  if you send them a message via  their Facebook page.

They took a fox I found dying in my garden to a vet. Unfortunately it didn't survive.

If they can't help I'm sure they will know who can.

Thanks Sue.
I actually found that you can ask the council to pick it up and dispose of it safely, which I have now done.
Poor cub. At least he didn’t suffer for too long.

That's very useful, thanks. Just hope I never need to use it.

Thank you for caring ❤️

Unlike the horrible driver, who must have known they had hit something 🤬

Only if the fox is in the street or a public place. The council will charge for removing a dead fox from private premises.

When I had a dead fox in my garden the council told me to put it in my wheelie bin, the green one.  I warned the dust bin men when they came that it was in there. They said they get worse than foxes put it!  Dead bodies!?  In the heat it might be better to bag it up first.
