I found Dan via the East Dulwich Forum. Him and his team are amazing, I cannot recommend them enough!

They completely transformed our 3 bed property in a couple of weeks, repairing plaster (following a number of bad leaks), repainting all walls, ceilings and woodwork and replacing all light fittings, plugs and door handles. It wasn’t an easy job but the team were really hard working and the level of finish was unbelievable! (So much better than the last time we had it done.)

Dan is really great with communication (quotes, receipts etc so you know exactly what’s going on.) He’s trustworthy, friendly and takes great pride in his work.

Pro Uno Builders offered the most affordable quote of 5, so if you’re looking or a builder/decorator you really can’t go wrong with Dan and his team. Details below:

Thank you so much for your kind words

We are all trying to achieve perfection

Which is not achievable

However day after day of trying

We are creating our identity

And the way others see us

knowing that you see me as a good fit for affordable and quality service means the world to me

Thanks again

I will 2nd this review for Daniel and his team.

Have had Daniel repair a ceiling when shower leaked and that was a couple of years ago. Recently had Daniel fix some ceilings , one of which had a few holes in it. He did an excellent job repairing all the ceilings, painting and finishing them to perfection. Also removed old carpet and fitted laminae flooring in 3 rooms and fitted new skirting and painted all the rooms. Nice job and it was very hot when they worked. Replaced all light and socket fittings around the house and fitted new door handles. Even replaced an old cat flap.

Overall excellent work and really looks so much better in the rooms. Cant wait to get him to do another 2 rooms soon.

Great man and really interested in getting the job done well and to my satisfasction. Thanks Daniel and the team.

Dan B has done a number of jobs for me in the last couple of years. Jobs include: decorating, putting ins completely new flooring in four rooms plus a fiddly hallway. (Flooring was herringbone style - looks awesome). He installed a kitchen. He also completely refurbed my loo including addressing slight damp that three other builders simply shrugged their shoulders at - the walls now look great as does the tiling on my floor. On route he made suggestions that totally paid off and make my flat look and feel more beautiful and spacious. Quotes are clear. I know what I am going to get. And I get it.  He's my go to builder really.

We’re absolutely thrilled with our kitchen renovation, all thanks to Daniel and his team. From the start, they were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful—nothing was too much trouble. One of the highlights of the project is the lighting, which was carefully planned and expertly installed. Their attention to detail, especially when it came to placement and finish, really impressed us. The entire job was done on time, on budget, and to a high standard. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and would gladly work with them again!

Just had Daniel complete a full decoration of my sons bedroom. Fitted new laminate flooring, painting and decorating and fitting new sockets and light switch and door handle.

All done on time and in budget and to an excellent standard. Great guy and son really pleased with the finish. Thanks Daniel

Hi. I am looking for builders to build a utility room at the rear of my bungalow, I live in Shirley, Croydon. I have read the feedback for Dan from Pro Uno. Has anyone else had dealings with Dan? Iv had pretty good experiences with other builders, however they are very busy.

Dan and his team completely transformed our family home. They upgraded all the lighting, replaced every switch and socket, and added several new ones. The plumber relocated the unsightly pipes that ran along the walls and concealed them neatly within the structure. All electrical cables were removed from trunking and properly installed inside the walls. New flooring was laid throughout, and the entire house was beautifully redecorated.

Dan was incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering excellent advice, clear timelines, and transparent pricing. The work was completed to a very high standard, and we would not hesitate to use him again.

    • @CPR DaveWe are talking about Lambeth Council, not Southwark, but I agree. It will be interesting to see if Lambeth fill part of that space with another hire out to a private events company.  As to the idea that what is gained financially from hiring out Peckham Rye Park is a good trade off, does not account for long-term damage to the park and the loss of access to the community for a month at least, in the best summer months where trees and shrubs are in full bloom and animals are birthing or rearing youngsters. For the Council to claim they are 'green' when they allow this is hypocrisy at its finest. @Northern Star Thanks, so they say. I'd love to see a list of these high quality free events and what they entail. I am not aware of any high quality free events in and around ED. Stand to be corrected though. Crikey, seems like they cannot even let Lordship Lane have Christmas lights this year.
    • Regarding Gala fees: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/assets/attach/280615/GALA-2024-and-one-stage-shows-stakeholder-consultation-findings-report.pdf‘ ‘’The decision to host large/major-scale commercial (ticketed) events in Southwark was taken in 2017, deemed necessary in order to raise enough revenue to offset the running costs of the Events service, which supports the delivery of 50+ outdoor community events per year, and in order to continue to fund a range of high quality, free events across Southwark through the Cultural Celebrations Fund grants programme.’’
    • Sorry, not having a dig at Southwark for that.   I'm just shocked that next door they've chosen to abandon such an institutional community / family event so they can keep pumping out commercial stuff instead.   I suppose the same could happen here next although we don't really have any longstanding family events like that one.
    • No doubt the schools in Harrogate are being discussed on the East Harrogate Forum or whatever. Dulwich College is being discussed because it's local. Saying "ooh, there were loads of schools mentioned" is a bit dismissive. It was Dulwich College that referred sex abuse allegations about pupils to the police and Dulwich College that used the spectre of the police to suppress dissent. 🤔
