pjal
Very specific I know! For our daughter who has just finished Year I2. There are many tutors advertising but would really like recommendations. I was going to post on the Tutoring sub board but there appears to be very little traffic there. Feel free to call or text 07342 059948 Many thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/364729-seeking-an-english-lit-a-level-tutor-to-focus-on-othello/ Share on other sites
Pugwash
One of the best of Shakespeare 's plays. I did Othello for A level. Also seen a number of stage and film versions. Is there any specific aspects of the play that is difficult for your daughter to understand? pjal
Thanks both for the replies and suggestions. She enjoyed studying the play but fell short in her mock and we don't have the paper to work out why. She had rotten teaching in her state school on this part of her course and we are trying to make up for it Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/364729-seeking-an-english-lit-a-level-tutor-to-focus-on-othello/#findComment-1714927 Share on other sites

I hope you find someone who can help. beansprout
Since I am of a certain vintage now, not sure if what I am going to suggest is even still around but here goes… use to be able to buy “dummy/mock papers on line and also had mini synopsis of Shakespeare plays specifically covering students wanting to gain a better understanding of play before taking mocks/ exams. Only know this as many many moons ago, struggled with English Literature and Language and this was the avenue-my parents went down. Also was at this point in my life, educated abroad as part of my fathers job. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/364729-seeking-an-english-lit-a-level-tutor-to-focus-on-othello/#findComment-1715051 Share on other sites
